conspiracy theory

i’m not into conspiracy theories so i scoured the internet for one that made me feel something. one of them did.

season three episode four of community imagines alternate universes/timelines. it’s a foolish episode but i love it. i think about this episode a lot. i like to pretend there are billions of alternate universes. one where police and prisons are abolished and life sustaining services are properly funded. one where capitalism is eradicated. one where my brain doesn’t have anxiety. one where all of these things (and more) are true. a lot of things in this universe suck. and a lot of people suck but imagining these alternate universes helps me understand this one. because if these things can simply be in another universe then it can also be in this one. i want that for this universe.

also sometimes it’s fun to consider how life would look if i had met ruby, gwen and oswaldo in high school or in elementary school or if i built my minecraft house out of birch wood instead of sand.
