i really like this prompt because it makes me think about a lot of people and experiences that i may have otherwise neglected
i miss so many people and things and experiences like its really about to be a list because im a fan of little lists with anecdotes so im sorry in advance for whatever i write here
- i miss dorms at swarthmore, despite how gross they can be, because they definitely let me feel like im at home when im with my favorite people.
- i miss waking up to gaby laying on her bed almost waiting for me to wake up so we can start our day at 12 pm
- i miss hearing oswaldo and gwen knock on the wall to get our attention
- i miss the horrible, long ass walk to the parking lot whenever i wanted to go get the car
- i miss the feeling of having a best friend live across the street from me in elementary school, and being able to just go outside and play for a while
- i miss the days where my dad would walk me home from the elementary school especially when he would bring my dog, toby
- i miss the feeling of getting ready for the first day of school, having laid out my uniform the night before, and feeling so nervous that everyone would hate me that i would plan out my course of action so that i could find someone i knew from the past year in my homeroom
- i miss watching tom and jerry with my dad after school
- i miss going to the library with friends even if cornell is loud as hell and mccabe is super silent
- i miss those experiences from high school that at the time i didn’t appreciate, but i can now look back on and smile like when i had my first kiss at homecoming (ewww) and i experienced my first kairos retreat (awww) and from graduation to field day to singing those church songs like cordero de dios during mass and making mrs. juarez get mad when you’d clap during the song
- i miss hugging people and i miss having real human interactions lol
- most of all i miss seeing gaby gwen and oswaldo every single day like wow y’all really were a huge part of my daily life and that all was kinda ripped away but i think it has made me appreciate y’all a million times more even if gaby says bad jokes and gwen eats all my chips and oswaldo sometimes acts like he doesn’t know me in public
